Original British/Canadian Manual, restricted circulation, marked “THIS DOCUMENT MUST NOT FALL INTO ENEMY HANDS” and “NOT TO BE TAKEN FORWARD OF FIELD COMPANY HEADQUARTERS.”   Pamphlet No.40 deals primarily with the laying and location recording of mines, as well as organized methods for clearing a minefield. 50+ pages; lots of diagrams.
