First variation backsight for the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) Mk I (1902-1908) and Mk I* (1906-1909). The backsight ramp is graduated to 2000 yards; the slide has checkered bone inserts on each side. Windage adjustable, with a small thumbnail groove, near the top rear, to enable the rifleman to recenter the windage without looking. The ladder is EFD (Enfield) marked; there are also multiple BSA (Birmington Small Arms Co.) inspection marks. Very good condition; completely functional.

ORIGINAL SPARKBOOK MARKED SMLE FRONT DIAL POINTER ARM    [N35]
Front dial pointer "volley sight" arm for for early Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifle. Royal Small Arms Factory Sparkbrook ("SK") was acquired by the Birmingham Small Arms Company (BSA) in 1906. Sparkbrook made rifles (1889-1905) are scarce and highly sought after by collectors; this SK and Broad Arrow marked part would be absolutely correct for an early (1902-1906) Mk I rifle - although it will happily fit on any pre-1915 SMLE.

PRICE: $75     International shipping available.    Ships via USPS.    [N35]

REPRODUCTION DIAL SIGHT SCREW & WAVE WASHER    [N41]

Very good quality reproduction parts to replace those small, impossible-to-find parts for your early (1902-1916) Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) and American-made Pattern of 1914 (P14) rifles.

These small parts were routinely removed and discarded as obsolete after 1916; finding an early rifle with intact original "volley sight" parts is uncommon.

I commissioned and paid for these parts and finally got them five years later. When this batch is gone, I'm done. Get them while I've got them. After that, you're on your own. Good luck.

PRICE: $35     International shipping available.     [N41]

REPRODUCTION SMLE LONG-RANGE 'VOLLEY' DIAL POINTER ASSEMBLY     [N42]

Reproduction Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) front dial pointer assembly with spanner screw and wave washer. First designed for the 1888 'Long-Lee' Enfield, then modified for the 1902 'Short' Lee-Enfield, the 'volley-sight' concept was obsolete long before The Great War (World War I, 1914-1919) - it just took until 1916 to admit it.

Guarenteed to fit and function on any Short Magazine Lee-Enfield with an original as-issued dial plate.

NOTE: this SMLE set will fit and function on a Pattern of 1914 (P14) Enfield - but the SMLE arm is about 1/2 inch shorter than the correct P14 component. In the interim, it's a perfectly good placeholder.

PRICE: $65 International shipping available. Ships via USPS.

ORIGINAL LEE-ENFIELD TYPE 3 MAGAZINE WITH TYPE TWO FOLLOWER     [N43]

Correct for the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) Mk I* (1904) and Mk III and Mk III* SMLE that followed.

*NOTE: First and Second Variation Trigger Guard have a slot milled on the inner side; commonly found on many rifles made before 1920. If your trigger guard has this slot, this magazine was intended for that rifle.

The Type 3 magazine case is a conversion of an earlier magazine case. The conversion was intended to work with both the Mk VI round-nose cartridge (in production 1904-1920) as well as the new Mk VII pointed-nose ammunition (in production 1910 - present).

Royal Small Arms Factory Enfield (EFD) marked. Correct for any 1904-1920 SMLE.

PRICE: $65 Ships via USPS Flat Rate Small box. ($10). TOTAL: $75. [N43]
